Contract for Service

Below is a sample contract for all of my photographic services, except for Wedding Photography. Please understand that I do require a contract for all services.

On signing of this agreement, the Studio will reserve the time agreed upon and will not make another reservation for the specific time frame. For this reason, all deposits are non refundable even if the date is changed or if the event becomes cancelled for any reason. I understand that Melanie Benson Photography is not responsible for poor image quality due to weather conditions or lack of available light, due to the time of day that the session is performed; portrait subject’s behavior; or other conditions beyond the photographer’s control. Any image taken during a session where the party receives a discount, must agree to the usage of portraits for promotional purposes. This is to ensure a fresh and current portfolio for the photographer. If you find this to be unacceptable, Melanie Benson Photography will always respect your right to privacy, and no discounts will be offered. I also understand that until this contract & deposit are received by Melanie Benson Photography, the date will not be reserved, and is still available to be booked by other parties. The service fee is for __ hour/s of photography. A deposit of 50% is due at the signing of this agreement with a further payment of all necessary expenses (unless otherwise specified) such as hotel, postage, parking charges, etc., to be paid at the date of the event. Checks must be made payable to “Melanie Benson”. Images on CD or DVD will be ready for pick-up by the responsible party within 60 days. Final products will not be ready for pick-up until checks have cleared for payment. Any returned check will be charged a $30.00 returned check fee. Each hour session is limited to one location of choice. Additional locations require a fee of $25.00 per location. Contracted time is concurrent and travel time is not deducted. Any location such as a hotel, or other location which require parking fees, are subject to a $25.00 parking/valet fee. Late Fee of $25.00 per day applies. I also agree that service time is only available in hour increments, and is not transferable. Please add a travel fee of $30 to all locations outside of the Jacksonville area.
